Does Consciousness Create Reality?

In quantum mechanics, which is the study of the quantum realm, or subatomic particles, where our current laws of physics don’t apply, gravity doesn’t affect these tiny particles. And they seem to operate by a different set of laws. And this set of laws, which govern the particles that make up all of the matter in the universe, are showing us that life is crazier than anyone ever imagined.

One such study of quantum mechanics took place when researchers were firing protons through a steel barrier, which had two vertical slits in it, and they wanted to see, if they fired right down the middle, which slit these particles would travel through. And they had a sensor behind the slits so that they could see if they showed up on the right or the left on the sensor. When they fired and then looked at the results, what they noticed was that the sensor showed that the particles went through both slits and made a wave pattern on the sensor.

So this particle of matter was behaving as a wave of energy. And they didn’t understand how it was possible that these particles could go through both slits as a wave of energy. So what they did was they put a little sensor on the slits so that they could see exactly what was going on.

We need to look closer at what happens before it goes through the slits. When they put the sensor, like a camera, on the slits, the particle stopped acting like a wave and started acting like matter. Now it would only go through one of the two slits, and it would just leave a little mark on the back sensor.

Over and over again, scientists retested this experiment. And what they kept showing was that if you look at the particle, it will act like a particle. When we don’t look at the particle, it acts as a wave of energy. Suggesting that consciousness affects reality. And that without consciousness, there are only waves of energy, waves of probability, and that once consciousness perceives this energy, it collapses down into physical, solid matter. So for some reason, calm consciousness affects the experiment; it affects our reality.

The mere act of looking at something creates that something. This is one of the reasons we feel like the universe must be conscious. It is because it responds to consciousness.
